OUA’s Black or Indigenous Heritage Student-Athlete (BIHS) Bursary
Ontario University Athletics (OUA) is pleased to announce the launch of the Black or Indigenous Heritage Student-Athlete (BIHS) Bursary.
The BIHS Bursary, a two-year pilot program commencing this season (2021-22) after being approved by the OUA’s Board of Directors, allows Members to provide additional financial support to student-athletes whose heritage is self-identified as either Black or Indigenous and who demonstrate financial need. Rising Stars Foundation will be hosting Night of Excellence. Night of Excellence 2021 is their annual fundraiser focused on celebrating community and their Stars. During the evening, Rising Stars Foundation will also award scholarships and bursaries to their youth leaders. This year their Night of Excellence will be hosted virtually on Thursday, October 21, 2021, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (CST) via Zoom. The theme of the night is POSSIBILITIES.
All proceeds from the event go towards removing financial, academic, and socioeconomic barriers for youth from underserved communities. Through their programming and your support, Rising Stars Foundation will develop leaders.

BTI Fall Talent Launch
The Fall Talent Launch is a virtual conference that will provide Black talent the exposure to diverse professional programming. The event is set to take place from October 18-24, 2021 and will provide BTI with the opportunity to connect with our growing Talent pool of 189 Black Professionals.
